Studio 808 Interiors

Glass panels for the kitchen, mirrored panels for the doors, glossy tiles from floor to ceiling surrounding a mirrored TV, Galuchat wallcovering for the master bedroom and beaded panels for the dressing room, this apartment displays a series of materials that shimmer, reflect or glow. Each texture describes a mood and gives its personality to each room. The colors are soft and sensual, from grey to silver, with touches of yellows and turquoises.

The main open space feels quite open with its beautiful glass staircase, and cozy for its long silver sofa, stretching the length of the room.

The powder room is covered with a combination of yellow glass tiles and mirrored tiles with yellow arabesque imprints.

As you go up the transparent staircase, you arrive at the Mezzanine level, another large open space.

The terrace doors fold onto themselves and gives an extension to the Mezzanine level with a bright yellow awning, stretching over the seating area and artificial boxwood walls displaying an outdoor TV. It’s the perfect space of a 4th of July party.

This Upper West Side Apartment is the perfect balance between modern and classic style, accommodating entertaining and the needs for a family lifestyle.

The shades of the grey-Lavender walls with white trims will change with the daylight throughout the day, giving different moods to the space. The living room showcases an exquisite collection of

Hubert Le Gall furnishing, with accents of teal and silver.

The entrance is another example of the juxtaposition of modern and classic: the lamp made by Flos has a Baccarat carved crystal base with a flashing text running through, created by

the artist, Jane Holzer, and a smoked glass shade by Philip Stark. The lamp is displayed on a stunning console by Hubert Le Gall.

Very old with very new: the ultra blue modern kitchen contrasts very nicely with the strong glossy ochre terracotta tile flooring.

Floor to ceiling curtains can easily over-power a room. In this case, we installed a minimal track along the length of the room so the panels have an unstructured feel about them when they are open.

The panels can also be gathered simply behind a fix metal tie on the wall for formal occasions.

It's all about the Hermes Orange.

What to do with an all white kitchen, that functions well and that's in good condition. Just give it a little color, add some new lighting and a few funky stools and you get a stunning new kitchen.  As we say in french "le tour est Joue", the trick is done.

As for the Master Bedroom, we created a boudoir in a vertical box. We used a very large scale pendant fixture to bring down the ceiling and painted the walls chartreuse green and strong orange again. 

The rest of this large loft consists free flowing seating arrangements, mixing old and new furniture and a long refectoir table, modernized with a curtain of beads on the long edges. 

It’s a modern duplex penthouse with two terraces that shows a 60’s ambience with classic lines and pop artwork. The lacquered aqua kitchen displays a colorful collection of glass; the sunroom resembles a jungle room and a Zen like master bedroom with copper drapery opens up onto a bamboo terrace.

This 1950’s Ranch style house was gutted out and remodeled to expose a two-story timber frame structure with an open mezzanine. The interior is a juxtaposition of modern lines, shaker details, and vibrant colors, giving a casual and classic feel to the house.

One of the oldest farmhouses in Warren County, the stone house dates back to 1680, and the adjacent wood structure from 1755. The house was gutted, in order to rediscover its original framing and layout. The wrap around porch was reopened, the stone house uncovered, and a new extension was added to the back of the house.

A jewel box: it’s the remains of a Victorian parlor floor transformed into a bachelor pad with a twist of purple and a splash of red. The furniture is a mix of 50’s and 60’s style, enhanced by a collection of hand blown glass.

Lori comes from a Fine Art and Design background. She was educated at the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, and pursued her design profession leading to being an owner /operator of Ligne Roset Showrooms in Philadelphia, Miami and New York.

As such, Lori's interior projects are numerous, spanning 3 decades of residential clientele as well as contract projects for hospitality and commercial clientele. Her work has been published both nationally and internationally.

Desiring to return to the essence of interior design, and finding common interest in design, French culture and the love of horses with Sarah, Lori thought Studio 808 would be a perfect fit.

Sarah has been wanting to work alongside another designer and has been searching for that design partner.

With Sarah’s French sensitivity and Lori’s Modern touch, Studio 808 Interiors will create the most complete design that fits Your style, Your space and Your budget.

Sarah enjoys the use of color in her work She likes to add colors, both saturated and pale to enhance and energize spaces, to give the environment more definition.

Sarah is always researching and discovering new furniture designers and artists in the US and in France, bringing the latest in design to her clients.

Lori's focus is the immersion of nature, patterns and textures to create spaces that are both soothing and artistic. Her project materials include the use of wood, metal, glass and textiles and natural color to create an esthetic harmony of our surroundings.

We rely on a select network of talented local manufacturers to fabricate and install custom furniture, draperies, cabinetry, wall treatments, etc.

With our strong management skills and design flexibility, Sarah and Lori look forward to creating, and supervising your next design project from beginning to end.

Hired to give a new look to the large lobby of this residential building, we enhanced the winter garden feeling of the large framed glass wall overlooking the courtyard. We used Thomas Moser’s comfortable seating with Christian Liaigre’s rectilinear lighting, and natural colors, juxtaposed with artwork showing traditional nautical scenes and architectural prints of sailboats The wood paneling provides the elegance and warmth to the space.
